Introduction
National Medical College is situated in the industrial area of Birgunj in Parsa district, a few kilometers from the Indo-Nepal border and is a preferred choice for Indian and international students wishing to study MBBS abroad. The college has its own multi-specialty teaching hospital, providing a combined academic and clinical experience in one campus.
History
National Medical College was established in the year 2001 under the umbrella of the National Medical College Company Pvt. Ltd. and has been started under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Jainuddin Ansari, a senior surgeon who previously worked in the government health sector in Nepal before starting the first nursing home in private in Birgunj in 1985. Over the years, NMC has grown from having just a medical faculty to providing complete education in medical, dental, nursing, and para-medical along with a big teaching hospital.
