Karnali Academy of Health Science (KAHS): Fee, Admission & Courses

• Phase 1 – Pre-Clinical (Year 1 & Year 2): 

  • Subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical English, Medical Ethics, Community Medicine (introductory). This phase builds the strong theoretical foundation required for clinical practice.

• Phase 2 – Para-Clinical (Year 2.5 to Year 3.5): 

• Subjects: Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine (continued). This phase bridges basic sciences with clinical application.

Phase 3 - Clinical (Year 3.5 - Year 4.5)

• will comprise General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiology and other clinical specialties. Students will participate in clinical posting at KAHS Teaching Hospital during this phase.

Phase 4 – Internship (Year 5.5): 

• One-year compulsory rotating internship at the KAHS Teaching Hospital in all the major departments.

The course standards and criteria are determined by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC Nepal). The curriculum is also aligned for Indian students by following NMC India guidelines.
