Yes, IOM Nepal is entirely recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India and is approved by NMC as a foreign medical college. Indian students can appear for the FMGE/NExT exam after completing their degree from there.

Yes, totally. As per the mandatory NMC guidelines of India (effective from 2018), NEET-UG score for the current year is a must for Indian candidates aspiring for any foreign medical college, such as IOM Nepal.

Q. Which Entrance Exam Do I Have To Pass To Get Admission In MBBS in IOM?
Nepalese candidates should take up MECEE-UG (Medical Education Common Entrance Exam – Undergraduate), which is an exam conducted by the Medical Education Commission Nepal. This is a 200 MCQ-based question paper on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Indian students should have NEET qualification first and then apply on the MEC Nepal website.

Yes. IOM conducts all lectures, textbooks, clinical postings, and exams in the English language only.
Q. What Postgraduate Opportunities Are There in IOM?
After MBBS and 1 year internship period, students will be eligible to take the MECEE-PG test for MD/MS course in IOM colleges and affiliate colleges. If you want to pursue PG courses in India, you will appear for NEET-PG after passing FMGE/NExT.
